This Privacy Policy explains how Drive Now (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (the “Platform”).
Important: Drive Now operates strictly as a marketplace to connect Vendors and Customers. We do not process rental payments, collect deposits, or manage booking contracts. All such activities occur directly between Customers and Vendors outside the Platform.

1) Scope & Acceptance
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including Vendors listing vehicles and Customers browsing or contacting Vendors. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue using the Platform.
2) Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Data: phone number (for OTP login), email, password/social login data.
- Profile Information: name, gender, date of birth (optional), photo (optional).
- Driving Licence Data: licence number, expiry, issuing country (when provided to Vendors).
- Vendor Business Data: trade licence, company name, address, contact details.
- Communications: inquiries sent via in-app messaging, emails, or vendor chats.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Data: device type, OS, unique identifiers, IP address.
- Usage Data: searches performed, listings viewed, interactions with Vendors.
- Location Data: approximate geolocation when enabled, to show nearby listings.
3) How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain user accounts.
- To enable Vendors to publish listings and Customers to view/contact Vendors.
- To verify identity and support Vendor compliance (e.g., trade licence checks).
- To facilitate secure messaging and communications between Customers and Vendors.
- To improve app functionality, performance, and user experience.
- To send service notifications, alerts, and marketing communications (opt-out available).
- To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.
Note: We do not process rental fees, deposits, fines, or refunds. All financial transactions are outside our Platform.
5) Legal Basis for Processing
We rely on the following legal bases for processing personal data:
- Consent: where you have given clear consent (e.g., marketing communications).
- Contract: where processing is necessary to provide Platform services you request.
- Legal Obligation: to comply with UAE laws, including trade licence validation and anti-fraud measures.
- Legitimate Interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
6) Data Retention
- We retain account data for as long as the account remains active.
- We retain Vendor business information while they maintain listings.
- Driving licence scans are retained only for verification and may be stored securely for Vendor compliance.
- We may retain minimal transaction metadata (e.g., inquiries) for record-keeping and dispute resolution.
- When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information, except where retention is legally required.
7) Data Security
- We use encryption (TLS/HTTPS) for data in transit.
- Personal data is stored in secure cloud environments with restricted access.
- We apply OTP verification to reduce account takeover risk.
- We implement routine monitoring for suspicious activity and vulnerabilities.
However, no system is completely secure. You acknowledge that information shared via the Platform (e.g., chats with Vendors) may be accessed by the intended Vendor and should not include unnecessary sensitive data.
8) User Rights
Depending on applicable law (including UAE regulations and GDPR if you are in the EU), you may have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold.
- Correction: request updates to inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and data, subject to legal obligations.
- Restriction: request limits on how we process your data.
- Portability: request transfer of your data to another provider.
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing messages.

10) Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

Your information may be transferred and stored on servers outside your country, including outside the UAE. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure adequate protection, consistent with applicable laws.
12) Third-Party Services
The Platform may link to or integrate third-party services (e.g., maps, analytics, communications). These third parties operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
13) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If changes are significant, we will provide notice via the Platform or email. Continued use after updates indicates acceptance.
